New Possibilities for Working with Clip Statuses in AutoPlay

When in use as a MAM system, AutoPlay now offers clip statuses, which highlight the media asset’s position in the workflow.

When in use as a MAM system, AutoPlay now offers clip statuses, which highlight the media asset’s position in the broadcaster’s workflows. Our customers’ favorite use case for this is the control of technical and legal compliance of incoming video files (e.g. loudness levels and inappropriate scenes).

Statuses can be changed automatically, when certain operations like file copying or automatic quality control are completed, or manually by editors or manual QC operators.
Fine tuning of user and group rights for status transition is available. The history of status transitions is stored in a special metadata field for each clip, with timestamps and user names for all changes made.

The statuses and their history can be exported as XML for exchange with 3rd party systems. Status changes can also trigger automatic actions, like exporting a mediafile to external storage.
