On January 28, 2013 at CSTB 2014 VGTRK has presented the idea of its new TV channel of feature films – Russian Detective. The main content will consist of Russian TV series and movies from the VGTRK archives. Russian Detective will continue the line of VGTRK serial TV channels. It will be the 11th in the Digital TV package among the following: Strana, Fight Club, Russian Romance, Russian Bestseller, Sarafan, Science 2.0, History, My Planet, Sport, Sport 1, which are transmitted from the On-Air TV complex launched by BRAM Technologies.
The broadcasting of the Russian Detective channel will be run by the AutoPlay 7 playout automation system based on the Azimuth video servers. The new TV channel launch is referred to the start of the ABS-2 satellite commercial use in March-April 2014.
